A few weeks ago, a bunch of people moved into a house a few doors down from me. They celebrated with a housewarming party which consisted of firecrackers and fights in the street outside my house. Today I am missing Ústí like crazy. Sometimes I get this urge just to pack everything in and go live in Czecho for a while. The only thing stopping me is the complete lack of water jobs over there, although I hope one day soon the Czech government will take a proactive approach to water quality issues and take kindly to semi-fluent Czech speaking non-residents.

I have made friends with another ginger cat, who is using my backyard as his second home. I call him Mr Marmalade. Percy isn't very happy with the idea.
